Business Development and Talent Attraction Research Takes Team to Miami
Regional Partnership team members Alan Tio, senior vice president, and Michael Galbraith, director of the Road to One Million, along with Greater Fort Wayne Inc. CEO Eric Doden spent four days in southern California meeting with site consultants, business decision makers and companies at the 2017 North American Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show. Collaboration with Northeast Indiana executives from Sweetwater Sound, Gator Cases and Fox Products produced introductions to six companies at the NAMM show. Following the opening night of the tradeshow, the Regional Partnership hosted a reception where Fox Products CEO Tony Starkey provided an overview of his company and described the advantages of doing business in Northeast Indiana. Tio, Galbraith and Doden also participated in nine business meetings in greater Los Angeles. The trip's success was due in large part to continued regional collaboration with Northeast Indiana companies and a competitive market in Southern California. Hannah Stork, director of business development at the Regional Partnership, John Urbahns, executive vice president of economic development of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and Brook Steed, senior regional economic development representative of Wabash Valley Power, will conduct an additional trip to greater Los Angeles in early February.
