5 Key Results from Our Collaborative Work in Northeast Indiana in 2018

Northeast Indiana's Progress Illustrates the Power of Collaboration
In Northeast Indiana, we understand that the passion and pursuits of many are stronger, by far, then those of just one. Our region's results in 2018 are a great example of the power of collaboration in our 11 county region.
Here's a quick look at five key accomplishments.
Veteran Talent
HoosierHomeBase.com launched in July to attract veterans as they separate from military service. The site has already received more than 3,500 page views. In addition, a paid social media campaign targeting 17 military bases has resulted in nearly 180,000 impressions in just the first few weeks.
Northeast Indiana Colleges and Universities
This collaborative among our nine unaffiliated higher education institutions is a unique consortium designed to ensure that employers considering a relocation or expansion in Northeast Indiana have access to the talent they need. This group played a significant role in retaining Shindigz with their 250+ jobs and attracting Rural Sourcing Inc., bringing 130 new jobs to the region.
3 New Companies = 193 new jobs
The Regional Partnership directly participated and collaborated with the local economic developers to win 3 projects, resulting in 193 new jobs in the region and a total capital investment of $14,250,000. New companies in the region: Rural Sourcing Inc., EnviroKure and Samson Exhaust. The Regional Partnership issued an additional 17 projects.
Electric Works and the Wall Street Journal
Regional leaders and the Regional Partnership team provided crucial support to Electric Works throughout 2018. A Wall Street Journal article featuring Electric Works early in the year provided strong momentum to the project. Altogether, the region garnered 247 million national media impressions in 2018, worth $1.2 million. In addition to the Wall Street Journal’s coverage on Electric Works, Northeast Indiana was featured in the Chicago Tribune, Bloomberg, Chief Executive Magazine, IndustryWeek and more.
$256 Million Invested in Quality of Place
23 projects from the Road to One Million plan were supported in 10 counties representing $256 million in total investment. As of 2018, 12 of these projects have been completed.
