A Fort Wayne hotel damaged years ago in a fire officially reopens Thursday. Namou Hotel Group has completed a $6 million renovation on the Wyndham Garden three years after a fire forced them to close it down.

The Namou Hotel Group currently operates four hotels in fort Wayne and has plans to build three new properties there in the coming years. One will be in southwest Fort Wayne, with the other two in the Dupont Road area.

"We are dedicated to the growth and rebirth of the great city of Fort Wayne and we are very excited to be part of it," said Namou Hotel Group Regional Manager Kalvin Shunia in a release. "We strive to be good corporate citizens, and we appreciate the support we receive from this community."

A grand reopening event and ribbon-cutting ceremony are set for Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
