Partners Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Provenance Hotels will break ground today at the intersection of Harrison and Main streets in downtown Fort Wayne on construction of a 124-room "boutique" hotel.
The name of the hotel hasn't been released yet. It will feature a marquee ground-floor food-and-beverage operation and meeting spaces for the community, according to a statement from Provenance Hotels via the city.
Designed by Elevatus Architecture, the project will be built by the Hagerman Group and is expected to be completed in late 2020.
Bashar Wali, president of Provenance Hotels; Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry; Cory Miller, principal of Elevatus Architecture are expected to attend, along with local and state economic development staff.
