Sampson, Bishop to chair works councils

John Sampson, president and CEO of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, was tapped by Gov. Mike Pence to chair the Region 3 Works Council, and Brad Bishop, executive director of OrthoWorx, will chair the Region 2 Works Council.

Earlier this year, legislation established 11 regional works councils across Indiana whose members are tasked with evaluating and developing career and technical education that meets the needs of employers in each region.

The Region 3 Works Council represents Allen, Adams, Wells, Grant, Huntington, Wabash, Whitley, Noble, DeKalb, LaGrange and Steuben counties.

Other individuals named to the Region 3 Works Council are: Lucinda Atkinson, Mad Anthonys Childrens Hope House; Ernest Barker of Bluffton; Dawn BonAmi, Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast; Patrick Buesching, 80/20; Timothy Holcomb, Impact Institute; Robert Palmer, Auburn Gear Inc.; Grant Porter, Formula Boats; Kathleen Randolph, Northeast Indiana Regional Workforce Investment Board; Daniel Sullivan, Frontier Communications Corp.; Douglas Thieme Region 8 Education Service Center; and Keith Davis Star Financial Group Inc.

The Region 2 Works Council represents Kosciusko, Fulton, Marshall, Elkhart and St. Joseph counties. Other individuals named to that council are: David Behrens, Complexus Medical; Lisa Dercach, Northern Indiana Education Center; William Kovach, Elkhart Area Career Center; Sarah Rice, Ivy Tech Community College; Daniel Tyree of Plymouth; Kitson Lynn Miller; and Amy Ebert, Jayco.
