The NEI marketing team is now tracking sentiment around the region. We can analyze comments on online review sites, survey responses and social media posts to gain deeper insights into specific regional views. Regularly analyzing sentiment data helps us track the attitude over time to make sure we’re engaging in positive discussions around our region.
This will Identify trends in positive, negative and neutral mentions and assist in understanding how the perception of our region evolves. Additionally, this will help us improve our efforts by learning what works and what doesn’t in our communications. This ongoing monitoring allows us to continue the positive trajectory of our region.
Our County Tour
This summer Hannah Hanagan, Callie Herring and our marketing intern Hadlee Mertz went on an 11-county tour to shoot video of everything that makes Northeast Indiana special.
It was an informative tour that allowed us to have our feet on the ground in all 11 counties and learn how to better market and highlight each county best to offer

At this past year’s event, we attracted an even larger audience, resulting in an increase in live votes for our 2024 Pioneer of the Year, James Khan, owner of ObiCai Restaurant Group. Ariana McGee, CEO and Founder of Navigate Maternity, 2023 Pioneer of the Year, said before presenting this year’s award that winning last year’s award was the “spark” for her and her company.
Preparation for the third annual Pioneer Event is underway! It will be even bigger and better than in years past. We look forward to celebrating and promoting the pioneering spirit that drives Northeast Indiana.
