For years, people have wanted more diverse and high-quality entertainment options in Northeast Indiana. That has now become a reality with Back 9 Golf & Entertainment, an exciting development that highlights our region’s ability to attract sought-after amenities. By leveraging our research resources, we identified potential sites and built a compelling data package that showcased why this type of entertainment could thrive here. This multi-year effort paid off, marking a major win for the community.
NEI has long recognized MedTech as a key industry cluster, and our recent partnership with Parkview Health and Enterprise Ireland is strengthening the region’s appeal for global innovators. The MedTech Gateway initiative is designed to create a supportive ecosystem that makes it easier and more beneficial for medical device companies to establish operations here. This initiative is already delivering results—NeuroBell, a groundbreaking medical device company, is among the first to take advantage of the program. Since initiating conversations in 2023, we’ve worked closely with Enterprise Ireland to bring NeuroBell to Northeast Indiana.
Our efforts to attract and support high-growth startups continue to bear fruit. At the Plug and Play Expo, we engaged with companies in an accelerator program about the possibility of permanent relocation to Northeast Indiana. These discussions yielded significant progress, including one East Coast company officially registering in Indiana—LifeJoint.
This marks our third win of 2025, further proving that the ecosystem we’ve built is attracting innovative companies and delivering early dividends for the region.
