COVID-19 Update: Northeast Indiana employers can access regional COVID-19 resources here.

The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne, with strong support and collaboration from the Regional Convention and Visitor Bureau (CVB) leaders and the Local Economic Development Organization (LEDO) Council, are the primary organizers of Make It Your Own Mural Fest. Alexandra Hall with AH Public Spaces Consulting and founder of Art This Way is leading the facilitation, implementation and project management of Mural Fest, as the festival's primary mural expert.

The event could not happen without the support and dedication of our regional volunteers involved in committees supporting Mural Fest. Committees participating in Mural Fest, include:

  • Regional Mural Festival Committee
  • County Steering Committees (one per county)
  • Regional Mural Festival Event Committee
  • Vision 2030 Brand Ambassadors Committee

Each county has a Steering Committee to identify locations for a mural, act as a liaison with the property owner and the festival committee, help with mural logistics, appoint juror(s) from each county, work with the event committee and promote the festival in their county.

Mural Fest begins on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and runs through Friday, Sept. 18. The final event will be in partnership with the Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District (DID) and Art This Way Fort Wayne at the Art Crawl event on Friday, Sept. 18 near The Landing and Promenade Park in downtown Fort Wayne.

Mural Fest is also supported through sponsorships from Parkview Health, Avangrid Foundation and 3Rivers Federal Credit Union. The mural festival is one of four finalists for the Indiana Office of Tourism Development (IOTD) Destination Development grant program. The finalist for the grant will be announced in spring 2020.
