Matt joined NEI as Director of the Community Impact Partnership Program in May 2025. His responsibilities include deepening collaboration with existing industry clusters, educational institutions, local economic development organizations, and government agencies at all levels to boost infrastructure, readiness, and overall competitiveness, laying the groundwork for new investments.
Matt has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University. Prior to joining NEI, he worked in commercial lending before spending the last decade in economic development.

- Matt is a huge sports fan and is proud to have seen the Atlanta Braves win the World Series twice and Chelsea win the Champions League twice. To complete the trifecta, he looks forward to the Purdue basketball team winning a national championship.
- Matt likes to cook and always contributes to meals at family holidays and get togethers. Just don’t ask him about the Thanksgiving turkey he cooked when he was in college.
