Four Lutheran Health Network hospitals and one Parkview Health hospital were among 620 U.S. hospitals recently earning the distinction of top performer on key quality measures from The Joint Commission.
The Joint Commission is the nation's leading accreditation organization for health-care institutions.
Lutheran hospitals recognized for exemplary performance are: Bluffton Regional Medical Center, for pneumonia and surgical care; Dukes Memorial Hospital, for pneumonia care; Dupont Hospital, for pneumonia and surgical care; and The Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network, for surgical care.
Orthopedic Hospital at Parkview North was also recognized for surgical care.
Only six other hospitals in Indiana received honors for key quality measures.
