FORT WAYNE -
AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) has announced the upgrades of more than one dozen cell towers in the Fort Wayne area. The company says the upgrades will bring faster speeds to customers.
AT&T says the upgrades come in addition to the enhancement of 16 other cell towers in Allen County with extra 4G LTE service earlier this year. It's the latest boost to service the company has made throughout the state in 2016.
“Whether it’s growing jobs, educating our children, or ensuring our health care professionals have quick access to crucial information, these improvements will have a positive impact on Northeast Indiana,” said Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry. “We appreciate that AT&T continues to invest in our communities, and supports our efforts to make the area an even better place to live and work.”
Earlier this year, AT&T announced it has invested nearly $2 billion in its networks throughout Indiana between 2013 and 2015.
