Chamber to host Business Showcase

KENDALLVILLE — Products, services and available jobs will be highlighted at the Kendallville Area Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Business Showcase and Job Fair Saturday at the Noble County Fairgrounds.
The public is invited to attend, and admission at the gate is free. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Among the businesses and industries looking for job applicants are: Flint & Walling Inc., Bollhoff Inc., the Northeastern Center and Creative Liquid Coatings.
Representatives from Pro Resources, Lincoln Michiana and Parkview Noble Hospital also are expected to have booths in the Merchants Building at the fairgrounds. Job hunters are advised to bring their résumés.
Local food vendors will be set up to accommodate hungry visitors. The Noble County 4-H ice cream shop and the Avilla Masonic Lodge food stand will be open.
Mentors from S.C.O.R.E. (Service Corps of Retired Executives) will be on hand to provide advice to those thinking about starting a business.
Kendallville Public Library staff will offer activities for kids, and attendees can enter a drawing to win a prize basket from local merchants.
