U.S. Sen. Dan Coats and other government leaders and foreign officials will take part in an international trade forum Aug. 22 at Grand Wayne Center.

Participants in the Indiana Forum will include federal, state and local officials and diplomats from around the world, according to a news release by organizers.

“The Indiana Forum will offer businesses from a variety of sectors vital opportunity to interact directly with federal agencies to facilitate international trade and domestic business expansion,” Indiana Forum executive committee member Ric Zehr of the North Eastern Group said in the release.

The office of Sen. Coats, R-Ind., said in an email that his goal is “helping Hoosiers expand their businesses, engage in foreign trade and work closely with officials at a number of federal agencies.”

Roundtable discussions and keynote speakers are planned at the forum, which will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. and includes breakfast at 8:30 and lunch at noon. There will be a dinner and Innovation Exhibit that evening at the Joseph Decuis Farm.
