Columbia City manufacturer set on $250,000 expansion
By Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly
Quality Inspection & Gage LLC plans to invest $250,000 to add machinery at its Columbia City facility.
The custom gage and fixture company, located in the Blue River Industrial Park, will use the investment to purchase equipment, modify its lab space to accommodate the new equipment and add 5,000 square feet of manufacturing space, Whitley County Economic Development Corp. said in a Nov. 22 statement.
"We work closely with our clients from the gage or fixture design through the build and calibration process to ensure they are receiving the highest quality product that is available," said Kelly Geiger, the company's president.
Columbia City's council approved a 10-year abatement for the investment.
"We're proud to support the expansion of this high-quality company in Columbia City," Mayor Ryan Daniel said in the statement. "Their investment into the company and our community is a testament to the great business environment that has been cultivated in Whitley County and the state of Indiana."
