Eagle Marsh Monarch Festival in Fort Wayne draws hundreds
By Lisa M. | News - Sentinel
A festival dedicated to a bug? Yup.
That's what drew hundreds of people out Sunday to Eagle Marsh's Monarch Festival. Children got plenty of hands-on activities, from making mudballs mixed with seeds of flowers favored by monarchs and making beaded bracelets representing the butterfly's life cycle to viewing recently emerged insects and letting them flutter away.
About 750 people attended the event, based on a preliminary estimate.
