News Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. -- Fort Waynes Touché Controls is proud to announce that Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack has made a significant investment in Touché and will now be the majority partner in this manufacturer of innovative lighting control systems.

Touché Controls provides commercial facilities with a simple, efficient, and amazingly customizable lighting control system that achieves significant energy and cost savings compared to traditional approaches. Their products include configurable LCD touch screen wall switches, room occupancy sensors, and power control devices resulting in a fully integrated lighting control solution.

Touché CEO Mike Picco said, "I sincerely appreciate Chuck's involvement in terms of his expertise in customer service, growing a company, and marketing savvy, and his financial investment will allow the company to further expand sales and development of its new state-of-the-art software-based lighting control systems."

Chuck Surack said, "Touché has developed a truly revolutionary approach for lighting controls and I believe it has a very bright future. In fact, I believe in their products so much that we installed their lighting controls throughout the recent expansion of our Sweetwater headquarters. But even more importantly, Mike and the Touché Controls' team are committed to working hard, taking great care of their customers, and growing the business and jobs right here in Fort Wayne.” Surack concluded, "As always, I'm very interested in creating jobs in Fort Wayne and this is a great opportunity to do that."

Other recent installations of Touché technology include Snider High School, Bishop Dwenger High School, Johnny Carson Theater at the University of Nebraska, Unilever Corporation in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a major pharmaceutical company in Indianapolis.

Touché was founded in 2009 by Michael Picco and Ron Laux. It currently employs 7, with projected employment of 30 within the next 3 years.

Touché is currently renovating a new headquarters location and Customer Experience Center in downtown Fort Wayne at 127 West Wayne Street, Suite 300, a building owned and being developed by Scott Glaze, who is also a Touché investor.
