Fort Wayne Aero Center open for business
Fort Wayne Aero Center is northeast Indiana’s premier full service fixed based operation (FBO) facility, which includes 12,000 square-feet and variety of other amenities.
FBO services include fueling, hangar rental, tie-down, parking and aircraft de-icing for private, corporate and charter air crafts.
The space has floor-to-ceiling color-tinted windows in various shades of blue and green and a variety of pilot amenities, including a lounge and private rest area, WiFi, two conference rooms with audio and visual capabilities, a fitness center, and complimentary provisions.
“We’ve been waiting a long time for this day,” Aero Center General Manager Jeff Van Slyke said. “The building finished right on schedule and our experienced staff is ready to provide exceptional customer service to the guests of Fort Wayne Aero Center. We’re delighted to serve the aviation community we love in such a pristine facility, offering some of the best services in the industry along with the best products from Avfuel.”
The airport authority announced the naming of the space back in May. Atlantic Aviation had been a contender to provide FBO, but FWA ultimately decided to make the Airport Authority the sole service provider. There are currently 69 FBOs in Indiana.
