Fort Wayne Among 'Best Places to Live'

Alex Brown

FORT WAYNE -
The city of Fort Wayne has kept its place on the list of "15 Best Places to Live If You're Trying to Save Money." The list from GOBankingRates.com ranks Fort Wayne at number eight, the same spot it had on last year's list.

The study broke down essential cost-of-living factors for each community. Some of the factors included in the study include median income, median home listing price, median rent, unemployment rate, average gas price and average cost of a basket of 15 common grocery items.

While the study featured the top 15 places to live, 100 cities were ranked overall. Indianapolis was the only other Indiana city on the list, being ranked at number 22.

Gilbert, Arizona was listed as the number one best place to live if you're trying to save money. San Francisco, California was listed as the worst city for saving money. Out of the 15 worst cities, all but two cities, New York City and Miami, were in California.
