Fort Wayne-based Beach House Beverages’s Café Rumba will add its Caribbean flavor to Meijer stores next year.

The liqueur brings together the tastes of Hawaiian Kona coffee beans, Wisconsin cream and five times distilled Caribbean rum.

Local business owner Ted Kucinsky of Catalyst Marketing Design partnered with Troy Woodrow to create Beach House Beverages, based at Catalyst, 624 W. Wayne St. Café Rumba is the first of several lines of “adult beverages” it plans to release, according to a statement. The liqueur is labeled and made in Michigan.

Café Rumba was recently accepted as a new brand to be added to more than 220 Meijer stores in 2019. The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based company has stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.

The company has produced close to 20,000 cases in the first seven months. It’s sold in Indiana at Belmont Liquors, Cap n’ Cork and S&V Liquors for around $19.99 per 750ml bottle.

Café Rumba is also distributed in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
