Fort Wayne companies land military contracts

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded contracts to Petroleum Traders Corp. and Tayrona Investments LLC, both based in Fort Wayne. The three-year contracts, totaling more than $22 million, call for the production and delivery of fuel for the U.S. military and other agencies.

Work on the contracts will be performed in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina. The contracts are expected to be fulfilled by October of 2020.

The U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Defense Logistics Agency Energy, as well as federal civilian agencies. The Defense Logistics Agency Energy in Virginia is the contracting activity.
