Frontier to hire 60 for call center

Frontier Communications on Wed­nesday said it will hire 60 full-time residential sales and service consultants for the customer service call center at its Midwest Region headquarters, 8001 W. Jefferson Blvd., in Fort Wayne.

The provider of TV, Internet and other services is holding informational sessions Friday for prospective employees, who must apply online.

The company in September announced plans to hire about 35 for the call center and expected to fill those jobs in October. A Frontier spokesman said those jobs would pay $12 to $15 an hour with potential for monthly compensation bonus.

“We’re very excited to offer more employment opportunities in the Fort Wayne area,” said Dan Sullivan, area general manager for Frontier Communications. “Frontier is committed to putting customers first and to our local communities,” he said in a statement Wednesday. “Our employees live in the areas they serve, and we support the local economy in the Fort Wayne area and Allen County.”
