GFW Inc. hosts women’s network exchange discussion session

May 21st, 2018

Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly

Greater Fort Wayne Inc. will host the Women’s Network Exchange discussion session 8-9 a.m. May 23 at the YWCA offices, 5920 Decatur Road. Guest speaker will be Paula Hughes–Schuh, CEO of the YWCA of Northeast Indiana.

Hughes–Schuh will talk about the YWCA’s mission and vision; details about the YWCA’s newly expanded program offerings and how to access them; insights into the new strategic partnership between the YWCA and the Women’s Bureau and other topics of interest.

On May 1, the YWCA assumed management of the three existing Women’s Bureau programs as well as the facility at 2417 Fairfield Ave. The Women’s Bureau will begin winding down operations as a separate entity.

All three Women’s Bureau programs — Transitions, REACT and Dress for Success — will transfer to the YWCA of Northeast Indiana. This new realignment will allow women currently served by the Women’s Bureau programs to have easier access to existing YWCA self-sufficiency programs such as financial literacy, economic empowerment, and environmental, nutrition and life skills.
