IU Health set to break ground on next Fort Wayne facility

June 17th, 2019

Officials will break ground on a new 25,000 square foot medical office next week, as Indiana University Health adds to its existing operations in Allen County.

The ceremonial event is set for Thursday, June 20, and will take place at a site located at Stellhorn and Lahmeyer roads, in northeast Fort Wayne.

Brian Bauer, president of IU Health’s Fort Wayne operations, will be among those taking part. The health care system says it will provide renderings of the new facility at that time.

The Stellhorn and Lahmeyer office health care center is expected to offer urgent care and primary care services and is scheduled to open in late 2020.

It is part of a local expansion that began with completion of the first IU Health facility in Fort Wayne last summer.
