July 25, 2012
News Release
Fort Wayne, Ind., -- JCR Automation, Inc. has announced plans to purchase an existing building on 1426 Ryan Road in New Haven, IN. The facility will be expanded to gain an additional 9,000 square feet for manufacturing and warehouse space. Its current location, 15202 Edgerton Road, will relocate to the new site upon its completion. This relocation and expansion will add four new full-time employees to its existing staff of sixteen.
JCR Automation is involved with various different industries but focuses on its continuous process product line for the high speed progressive die stamping industry. The company also has a solid reputation for custom automation, test equipment, and vision system inspection integration. This recent investment will allow JCR Automation to increase its manufacturing capabilities.
“This investment will allow us to focus on making sure our products remain innovative and aid in our endeavor to be the leaders in our field of automation,” said Rick Johnson, president and general manager of JCR Automation, Inc. “Our new facility will ensure we continue to grow and stay competitive.”
JCR Automation plans to invest $200,000 in the new facility and $300,000 in new equipment. The Allen County Council will be asked to consider phasing in real and personal property taxes associated with the project on August 16. JCR Automation could save approximately $15,013 while still paying over $37,471 in local property tax over 5 years.
“We are excited at the prospects of helping JCR Automation thrive and grow in Allen County,” stated Allen County Commissioner Nelson Peters. “This type of investment helps us to diversify our employment base and allows for high-end technical jobs to be created in the community.”
