Bill Konyha is the new president of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana.

Most recently, Konyha headed the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. Previously, he led the Economic Development Group of Wabash County for a number of years.

Konyha served as president of the Indiana Economic Development Association and as chairman of the IEDA Legislative Committee, working with previous Indiana administrations to create OCRA, the Indiana Department of Agriculture and the Indiana Economic Development Corp. While serving as executive director of OCRA, Konyha led efforts to replace the state Historic Tax Credit program with the Historic Renovation Grant program.

In his new role, Konyha is responsible for planning, overseeing and executing all efforts for the Regional Chamber.

“Bill will bring an experienced passion for economic growth and partnership-building to the Regional Chamber as we work with our constituents throughout northeast Indiana to strengthen and expand our pro-business environment,” said David Findlay, board chair of the Regional Chamber and president and CEO of Lake City Bank.
