April 10th, 2018

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership invites media to attend a historic regional event—the signing of the Code of Ethics by elected city and county officials and economic development professionals from Northeast Indiana’s 11 member counties.

The Code of Ethics signing starts at 2:45 p.m., and media are invited to visit from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, at the newly renovated Regional Partnership office located at 200 E. Main St., Suite 910, Fort Wayne.

Media may tour the office and have the opportunity to connect with elected officials and economic development professionals from 11 counties.

The Code of Ethics sets the standard for regional collaboration in its introduction:

“The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership (Regional Partnership) is committed to the economic growth of the 11-county Northeast Indiana region. The Regional Partnership brings together the interests of a broad range of private and public groups to promote Northeast Indiana as a single economic entity. The collaboration of such a variety of groups and interests requires that certain standards of conduct must be developed and adhered to for the Regional Partnership to meet its goals of generating new business leads, developing competitive product, and cultivating effective regional leadership for Northeast Indiana. The progress of our work together as a region will be determined by our ability to foster the general creation of prosperity as indicated by increasing employment, per capita income and GDP. This Code of Ethics represents the standards that partners and stakeholders of the Regional Partnership will uphold and encourage in the daily conduct of business.”

“In Northeast Indiana, you’ll find an emphasis on regional collaboration and trust. By adhering to these values, rooted in our Code of Ethics, we provide outstanding business support and grow our region—together. These public proclamations demonstrate that we are committed to higher levels of performance and accountability through a culture of trust and respect,” said John Sampson, president and CEO of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership.
