Two groups each received $500 in seed funding for projects pitched at the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnerships M2020 Spark Tank event.

More than 100 teens and young adults attended the daylong event Friday at the University of Saint Francis Performing Arts Center in downtown Fort Wayne. M2020 Spark Tank is part of the partnership's Vision 2020 initiative to foster economic growth in northeast Indiana.

Those attending the event were asked to come up with ideas to help improve the region. One of the winning groups proposed a project called Business Connect, which would develop a social network for startup businesses.

The other winning idea was the result of four groups combining their ideas into one. Their project, Happening Now Fort Wayne, would create a website geared toward millennials, those roughly ages 15-25, that would have information about events occuring in Fort Wayne near the user's current location.
