National Trade Journalists Tour Northeast Indiana
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, with partner Indiana Michigan Power, hosted three national trade publication journalists this week. The journalists toured the region for two days visiting vehicle and medical device companies. The journalists represented three publications: Expansion Solutions, Manufacturing.net and Assembly Magazine.
"We are focused on creating national awareness of why Northeast Indiana is an excellent place to do business," said Courtney Tritch, director of marketing for the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership. "Journalists seeing the success of our companies and the growth of our key industry clusters here is invaluable in elevating our regions national reputation."
Journalists visited Tenneco, Mudd-Ox (pictured), Forest River, Micropulse, C & A Tool and Fort Wayne Metals. They also met with representatives from WorkOne Northeast, Ivy Tech Northeast and the Regional Partnership to learn how the region's collaborative efforts to develop, attract and retain talent are directly impacting Northeast Indiana's business climate.
The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership was formed in 2006 to help build a globally competitive economy in Northeast Indiana. It is a public-private partnership focused on generating business leads and building regional capacity through product development and effective regional collaboration. The Northeast Indiana Fund (Fund) was created in 2005 to operate as a supporting organization of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, focused specifically on product development and regional collaboration. In 2010, the Partnership launched Vision 2020 to bring the region together around five key areas for economic growth: 21st Century Talent, Competitive Business Climate, Entrepreneurship, Infrastructure and Quality of Life. Through its combined efforts in business development and capacity building, the Partnership supports its 10 member counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties.
