New York Media Take Interest in Northeast Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, in conjunction with Indiana Michigan Power, just completed a media tour where they met with top tier publications in New York City. The purpose of the two-day tour was to build awareness of Northeast Indianas successful companies and exceptional business climate in order to attract additional business investment to the region. Interviews were conducted with The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times,, Christian Science Monitor and The Guardian.

Rob Marr, vice president of C&A Tool, was the business spokesperson on the trip. The journalists were very interested in C&A's innovative manufacturing practices, especially in regard to additive manufacturing. Additional Northeast Indiana representatives on the trip included John Sampson, president and CEO of the Regional Partnership; Rob Cleveland, Manager - Economic & Business Development at Indiana Michigan Power; and Courtney Tritch, director of marketing at the Regional Partnership.

"When top tier publications write about Northeast Indiana, we become top of mind for the site selectors and businesses we are actively developing relationships with--increasing our ability to attract business investment to the region," said Courtney Tritch.

The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership was formed in 2006 to help build a globally competitive economy in Northeast Indiana. It is a public-private partnership creating business investment by generating business leads, developing product and fostering regional collaboration. In 2010, the Partnership launched Vision 2020 to bring the region together around five key areas for economic growth: 21st Century Talent, Competitive Business Climate, Entrepreneurship, Infrastructure and Quality of Life.
