Orchard Pointe opens in Kendallville
KENDALLVILLE — Orchard Pointe Health Campus, a 95-bed facility offering assisted-living and skilled-nursing services, opened Thursday in Kendallville.
Orchard Pointe is operated by Louisville, Kentucky-based Trilogy Health Services, which has two health care facilities in Goshen and one in Milford.
Last year, the Kendallville campus, 702 Sawyer Road, was estimated to cost between $7 million and $9 million, and employee 90-100 people.
Orchard Pointe will host an open house on Sunday.
In a news release, Trilogy Health Services said Orchard Pointe is the company’s 102nd senior living community. It has facilities in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky.
“We are excited to bring our senior health and hospitality offerings to Kendallville and Noble County,” Randall Bufford, Trilogy Health Services president and CEO, said in the news release.
“Each Trilogy campus is built for a single purpose — to provide compassionate customer service, the very best in clinical services and an exceptional quality of life experience to the communities we serve.”
The 55,000-square-foot Kendallville facility offers assisted-living services, as well as skilled nursing care, respite care, memory care and adult day services.
Most of its 95 beds are in private suites that are furnished, but can be customized to a resident’s style and taste, according to Trilogy Health Services. The facility also has a community dining room meant to serve as a central meeting point for residents.
Orchard Pointe is based on the company’s “village center” residential model, which includes such amenities as manicured courtyards, a putting green, an ice cream parlor, a beauty salon and a therapy gym.
Activities at Orchard Pointe are tailored to residents’ interests, including outings to local restaurants and attractions.
Trilogy Health Services was founded in 1997. Orchard Pointe was constructed by Ramsey Development Inc. of Tell City on the 5.5-acre site along Sawyer Road.
