Parkview Noble ranks in top 10 percent

KENDALLVILLE — Parkview Noble Hospital was recently recognized with 19 Professional Research Consultants (PRC) in Healthcare Awards for 2012 ranking the local facility in the top 10 percent in the country.
The awards are based on patients’ perception of care and medical staff perception, and were presented at the PRC national excellence in healthcare conference held recently in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Departments receiving 5-star awards were: the emergency department; outpatient services; surgery; emergency medical services; rehabilitation therapy; and radiology.
The categories Parkview Noble received the 5-star Medical Staff Perception awards were: administration; as a place of practice; hospitalist; medical records; pathology services; quality of care; surgical services; anesthesia; emergency services; laboratory; nursing care; patient safety; and radiology services.
Parkview Noble Hospital chief operating officer Dave Hunter praised his team for the awards. “I am especially proud of the staff and physicians at Parkview Noble for achieving this level of recognition. We provide care with compassion to enrich our patients’ experiences when they come to Parkview Noble, and these awards tell us how much they appreciate our efforts.”
The awards are based on the percentage of patients who said their overall quality of care was excellent.
