The Allen County Board of Commissioners will help pay for the hiring of a local firm that will work to provide community development services in cooperation with the NewAllen Alliance, which promotes economic development in eastern Allen County.

The Sturtz Public Management Group will be a liaison between community groups, government agencies and departments, developers, and the general public. SturtzPMG is also charged with building collaboration between affected communities, civic groups, private individuals, businesses, political leaders and others. The firm will also coordinate projects with Greater Fort Wayne, Inc., Allen County Department of Planning Services and the Northeastern Indiana Regional Coordinating Council.

NewAllen Alliance and Allen County will split the cost of up to $75,000. The alliance’s board of directors approved the contract last month.
