Raytheon Co.’s Fort Wayne operation has been awarded a contract for radio systems components for the Army. The contract doesn’t specify the quantity or the delivery date. The maximum value of the order is $14.4 million.

The work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2015, the government said Wednesday.

Also Wednesday, Raytheon announced it has acquired the government solutions business of privately held data security firm SafeNet Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Raytheon said it doesn’t expect the acquisition to significantly affect its sales or earnings per share in fiscal 2013.
