Regional Partnership announces 2014 elections

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Regional Opportunities Council (ROC), the investor board of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, has elected the 2014 Slate of Directors to the Partnerships Governing Board and a new at-large member of the ROC. The Governing Board has also elected its 2014 officers of the corporation.

The ROC is the investor board of the Partnership comprised of over 100 regional leaders that oversee the Vision 2020 initiative, and is charged with electing the Partnership's Governing Board. The Governing Board is responsible for providing strategic leadership oversight to the Partnership's operations and fiscal matters.

The Governing Board's 2014 officers of the corporation are: Chairman Joe Pierce (Farmers State Bank), Immediate Past Chair Mike Packnett (Parkview Health), Vice Chair Scott Glaze (Fort Wayne Metals), Secretary Paul Chodak (Indiana Michigan Power), Treasurer Andrew Briggs (Bank of Geneva), Investor Board Chair Keith Busse (Steel Dynamics, Inc.) and President and CEO John Sampson (Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership).

"The region has made great progress over the past few years in efforts to transform Northeast Indiana and our economy. As the newly-elected chair of the Regional Partnership, I look forward to working with leaders from every county in the region to continue that success," Joe Pierce, chairman of the Partnership's Governing Board and president and CEO at Farmers State Bank.

Current Governing Board members elected to a new term include Scott Glaze (Fort Wayne Metals), Mayor Richard Hickman (City of Angola), Bob Marshall (Noble County EDC/Campbell & Fetter Bank ) and Mike Packnett (Parkview Health). New Governing Board members include Brian Bauer (Lutheran Health Network), Mayor Suzanne Handshoe (City of Kendallville) and Alan Tio (Whitley County Economic Development Corp.).

The Regional Opportunities Council also elected a new at-large member, State Representative Kathy Heuer, who will represent the Indiana House of Representatives.
