Regional Wages and Benefits Survey Deadline Extended
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The deadline for the regional wages and benefits survey has been extended until Friday, March 19.
The Local Economic Development Organization (LEDO) Council and the Northeast Indiana Chamber Coalition partnered on the survey, which gathers accurate and up-to-date information about the local business environment, assists existing employers in their evaluation of current compensation programs against the market and informs regional economic development efforts.
Tamra Boucher, human resources manager at 20/20 Custom Molded Plastics, LLC., said the annual wages and benefits survey provides invaluable data to human resource professionals and company executives.
“Like all data sources, however, it is only as good as the inputs. The greatest value comes when a significant majority of regional employers participate. And when they do, it becomes a great tool to assess competitiveness in the employment marketplace. I encourage all employers—large and small—to not only participate in the survey but also take advantage of the insights it offers,” Boucher said.
The benefits portion looks at costs of health insurance and policies in areas like training, vacation and financial incentives including retirement and bonus plans. A workforce assessment section asks about skills, education, drug testing policies and forecasts for hiring and wage increases.
The survey is broken into four categories:
1. Goods-producing, construction and logistics
2. Professional, finance, information services and non-profits
3. Healthcare
4. Leisure, hospitality, retail and restaurants
After the data is collected, reports will be prepared by an independent consultant, keeping participant information confidential.
The survey targets employers in all sectors located in Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties. Businesses are encouraged to contact their local chamber or economic development organization with questions or to learn more information.
Human resource professionals are asked to read this instruction sheet and visit the website to complete the survey using the survey code UHyEii5.
