Sechler’s Pickles to be featured on TV

Sechler’s Pickles will be featured on the Jan. 12 episode of the “Small Town Big Deal” TV show.

Co-hosts Rodney Miller and Jann Carl will feature the history of the factory and they will try their hands at making pickles.

The show airs at 9:30 p.m. on RFD-TV. The episode was filmed in 2016.

Sechler’s Pickles has been in existence since 1921, making more than 50 varieties of pickle, relish and salsa. Varieties include traditional pickles, sweet and candied pickles and hot and spicy pickles.

Miller is a farmer with downhome roots in middle America while Carl is a former Hollywood correspondent with Entertainment Tonight. Together, their sibling-like chemistry has made “Small Town Big Deal” one of the most popular family entertainment shows on television.

“Small Town Big Deal” premiered in September 2012 on cable channel RFD-TV. The show celebrates the great stories of America, showcasing communities, unusual events and inspirational individuals across the country.
