The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership has promoted its former Vision 2020 director, Katy Silliman, to executive director of its Northeast Indiana Fund support foundation.

Silliman assumed responsibility Jan. 1 for the fund’s strategic development and operational oversight. She also is in charge of the fund’s capacity-building initiatives involving Vision 2020, "The Big Goal" collaborative and industrial cluster development.

"Northeast Indiana is a region that is serious about building the capacity for economic growth. Katys acceptance of this new position is a testament to this fact," John Sampson, the partnership's president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"Her leadership in the Vision 2020 process over the last two years and her commitment to regional collaboration will prove extremely valuable."

Silliman has been with the Fort Wayne-based regional economic-development group since 2006, when the partnership brought her on board to support its fundraising campaign.

Her leadership roles have involved her in operations, marketing, finance and fund development.

She previously served as a Peace Corps volunteer and as a chief resource officer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana.
