Sound Ideas Building New Facility in Whitley County
Creative firm Sound Ideas building new facility to enhance capabilities
COLUMBIA CITY (September 12, 2013) – Locally based creative firm Sound Ideas announced recently that the company will be breaking ground on a 4,400+ SF office space at the intersection of State Road 14 and County Road 600 East in Whitley County.
“We are very optimistic about the future needs of our clients and our ability to serve them with great solutions,” said President Dave Hazen, “We’re building a dedicated creative and production space to meet increased customer demands.”
Sound Ideas specializes in strategy, design/marketing and digital media for a variety of clients in medical device, pharmaceutical and manufacturing markets. The company plans to invest in construction of this new facility to enhance and increase its capabilities in video, branding, 3D illustration and animation, mobile applications, and large-scale corporate meeting production. The company now has twelve team members and plans to continue expanding.

The Whitley County Council recently approved a request for phase-in of property taxes on new building construction and a CEDIT based incentive to support onsite infrastructure improvements.
Sound Ideas is locating at a site near Micropulse, Inc., a medical device design and manufacturing firm focused on providing precision surgical instruments, implants and delivery systems to the global orthopedic industry. In 2010, Micropulse launched the OrthoVation CenterTM to provide office space and support services for startup companies in the medical device industry.
