Sweetwater hiring 130 to boost distribution
Sweetwater will hire more than 130 new employees as it adds new shifts in its distribution center.
The Fort Wayne-based company said Monday it would fill more than 130 jobs in the next few weeks. Sweetwater recently added second and third full-time shifts, as well as a part-time weekend shift, in its distribution center, the company said.
As a result, Sweetwater will hire equipment operators and shipping and receiving specialists for the following shifts:
- Weekday 1st shift: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Weekday 2nd shift: 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Weekday 3rd shift: 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Weekend (part time): Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Sweetwater said it recently increased its pay structure for the positions. The potential starting pay rates for the positions are between $13-$15 an hour, depending on experience and shift. The positions include full benefits.
