Tax consulting firm expanding, relocating to Ash Skyline Plaza

WANE

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A corporate tax consulting company is relocating and expanding its North American headquarters in downtown Fort Wayne.

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. (DMA) plans to invest $2.5 million to move to the new Ash Skyline Plaza this summer. The company will create up to 43 new jobs in the next five years.

“The new Ash Skyline Plaza has provided an incredible opportunity to continue growing as a company throughout North America, while keeping the heart of the company rooted where our journey began,” President and CEO, David Meinika, said.

The new positions will include executives, back office operations, consultants and technology developers. DMA says the jobs require advanced degrees and will likely appeal to high-skilled, highly-educated professionals.

DMA is receiving an incentive package valued at $430,500 from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Northeast Indiana Works and the City of Fort Wayne. The project is eligible for a 10 -year real and personal property phase-in that City Council would have to consider.

The consulting firm serves Fortune 100 companies such as Siemens, Finish Line and Morton Salt. Since 1972, it has grown to more than 400 professionals and 18 North American offices.

In February, law firm Barnes & Thornburg announced it would be moving into the Ash Skyline Plaza. A developer was named in early January for the residential portion of the project.
