FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The 45th Annual Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival is proud to announce the theme of the 2013 Lutheran Health Network Parade: MADE HERE.

In creating this year's theme, Three Rivers Festival is partnering with the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership's MADE HERE Campaign to celebrate all of the amazing attributes of Northeast Indiana that make us proud to live here. From TVs and trucks to families and memories, this theme allows parade participants to be creative in showcasing what MADE HERE means to them.

"MADE HERE is a perfect fit for this year's parade theme, and we couldn't be more pleased that Lutheran Health Network has chosen to partner with us again this year. Their commitment to the community shows their pride in being MADE HERE in Northeast Indiana, and I can't wait to see how others interpret the theme at this year's parade," said Jack Hammer, Three Rivers Festival director.

The MADE HERE Campaign is the voice of the Vision 2020 initiative's mission to develop, attract and retain talent in Northeast Indiana. At the end of 2012, a new strategy of the campaign was launched around YourStoryMadeHere.com, a regional website to help employers attract and retain talent in the region.

AaronButtsMadeHere "The Lutheran Health Network Parade is a great example of all of the unique assets 'MADE HERE' in Northeast Indiana, and we are excited about our partnership this year," said Courtney Tritch, director of Marketing at the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership. "The importance of the quality of life that events like this bring to our region cannot be overlooked when it comes to attracting and retaining talent in our region."

Each year, more than 50,000 people line the streets of downtown Fort Wayne to see the floats, hear the bands and to celebrate the kickoff to Fort Wayne's Biggest Summer Celebration since 1969.

Parade entrants are encouraged to create colorful and decorative floats representing their interpretation of the MADE HERE theme. Applications for the Lutheran Health Network Parade are available for download at the Three Rivers Festival Website, www.threeriversfestival.org or by emailing info@threeriversfestival.org. Deadline for Parade applications is April 30.
