Univertical to Expand Angola Operations

ANGOLA -

Angola-based Univertical will invest $1.2 million to expand its operations. The Angola City Council has approved a seven-year tax abatement for the company.

The investment will allow Univertical to expand chemical processing capacity at the plant, as well as install a second upward casting line and plating line equipment. The installation will occur between March 2016 and June 2017.

"We have been through a lot with Univertical over the past decade," stated Richard Hickman, Mayor of Angola. "Thankfully, they stuck with us through some tough times and continue to grow in our community. We are very fortunate to have a world-class company like Univertical in our community."

Univertical currently employs 74 workers at its Angola plant at an average wage of $53,600. The expansion will include seven new positions as varying skill and wage levels.
