Windrose Urban Farm’s mushroom, loofah production to benefit from Fort Wayne facade grant

A 3-year-old group in a nondescript blue warehouse on Lafayette Street will get a boost as one of nine properties benefiting from Fort Wayne facade grants.
Mayor Tom Henry announced April 23 that Windrose Learning's Windrose Urban Farm, 1325 Lafayette St., which grows mushrooms and plans to expand into loofahs with the purchase of a building next door to it, is a 2019 Commercial Facade Grants recipient.
The other recipients are Antonuccio's Italian Market and Wine Cellar, 4011 South Wayne St.; Broadway Aquatics, 2426 Broadway; Clinton Corner, 3506-3510 N. Clinton St.; Fort Wayne Outfitters, 1004 Cass St.; Turnstone, 3320 N. Clinton; Cog & Pearl, 1420 N. Wells St.; Wells Center, 3674-3678 N. Wells; and Wells Street Commercial, 1736 N. Wells.
