CHURUBUSCO -

C&A Tool Engineering Inc. is expanding its operations in Churubusco. The $6 million expansion will create up to 51 jobs this year.

Among other services, the company provides additive manufacturing, or 3D printing, for the aerospace, medical device and industrial sectors. The investment for the expansion will go toward manufacturing equipment which will help the company expand its capabilities by adding a new production line and production capacity in the medical device sector.

The town of Churubusco approved a ten-year tax abatement for the expansion. Frank Kessler, president of the Churubusco Town Council, said the town is pleased to support C&As continued growth.

"C&A Tool has met and exceeded expectations when we’ve worked together on incentives," said Kessler. "They continue to be a leader in the industry, constantly adding new technologies and capabilities, and they are a huge economic driver for the area. We are pleased that they call Churubusco home.”

The company previously expanded its operations in 2014, adding 26 new jobs. In total, there are about 590 full-time employees within C&A. The company has approximately 750,000 square feet of manufacturing space at various facilities in Churubusco and Auburn.
