Carol Coletta of the Knight Foundation to Speak in Fort Wayne

Vice President of Community and National Initiatives for the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Carol Coletta, will be the closing keynote speaker that the upcoming Emerge Conference on Friday, Sept. 11 in downtown Fort Wayne. Fort Wayne is one of 26 Knight Communities in the United States. The Knight Foundation invests in these communities to help cities attract and keep talented people, expand economic opportunity and create a culture of engagement. The Knight Foundation published the well-known and widely used Soul of the Community report and just one year ago launched the Knight Cities Challenge, an innovative funding process open to anyone with an idea to make cities more successful. Carol Coletta’s keynote address will be open to the public and take place at the Robert Goldstein Performing Arts Center in downtown Fort Wayne from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and registration is not needed to attend the session. The Emerge Conference is the culmination of the year-long Creative Census project from Wunderkammer Company. The conference will highlight Northeast Indiana’s unique position in the creative economy and address issues such as talent attraction and retention.
