Construction on fourteen townhomes downtown will start soon as part of the Cityscape project.

There are three different styles of townhomes ranging from about 1,800 sq. ft. to 2,400 sq. ft. that buyers can choose from. They start at $270,000 to $375,000 depending on the size of the home. Each unit is either three or four floors and has a two car garage. Some of the larger units have a rooftop garden.

When it comes to the inside, each buyer will work with a designer to customize the home. Eric Doden with Domo Ventures said  there’s been a lot of interest in the townhomes with three of the 14 units already bought in the first week they went on the market.

“We’ve had two open houses over the last two days and we’ve had roughly about 15 to 18 people come in and take a look at the product and just a lot of excitement around downtown living, a lot of excitement around living in a townhouse and having a really easy, stress-free life within the urban environment,” Doden said.

That same buzz is happening at the 163 unit apartment complex next door.

“We’ve already had 220 people that have signed up as applicants that were interested in taking a look at the apartments and we haven’t even opened an apartment,” Doden said.

“Whether it’s the boutique hotel that’s been contemplated and we know that Skyline Tower is happening. We’re very excited about that because we know that just brings more energy and really helps our community grow from both an economic perspective as well as a population perspective,” Doden said.

The apartments will be done this spring. The townhomes will be ready for buyers in September as a long as they get their customized designs in by March.
