Fort Wayne company lands military fuel contract

Petroleum Traders Corp. in Fort Wayne has been awarded a $38 million military contract. The five-year contract covers various types of fuel for the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency.

The agency awarded a similar contract to Diversified Energy in Milton Georgia. The Department of Defense says work will be conducted in Indiana, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington D.C.

The company supplies wholesale gasoline and diesel as well as bulk diesel fuel, bulk gasoline and other products as well as fuel inventory management solutions.

The department says the contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Energy in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
