Greater Fort Wayne, Inc. recently took home three statewide awards from the Indiana Chamber Executives Association annual conference, including Indiana Chamber of the Year, per an announcement from GFW.
The other two awards received by GFW came from the statewide Communications Excellence Awards for the organization’s successful marketing efforts and its website. The marketing award was the result of GFW’s Opportunity on the Edge of Greatness campaign, which is a 10-year vision set on increasing wages in local industries, expanding area population and doubling the local GDP.
"The Greater Fort Wayne Inc. team presented a very solid nomination for this award and excelled in all areas reviewed," Shelli Williams, president of the ICEA, said in the announcement. "This organization continues to be a leading catalyst for professional innovation in Indiana."
The announcement from GFW identified the past year as the organization’s best, with spikes in member recruitment and retention as well as high numbers of attendance at many of its events including Leadership Fort Wayne.
"We exist to grow jobs, wages, and the economy, and we're honored that people across the state are noticing our community's successes," Eric Doden, CEO of GFW, said in the announcement. "I'm so proud of our team and our board. We can accomplish so much for our community when we all align around a common goal and dedicate ourselves to achieving results."
