Indiana Tech has hit an enrollment milestone in the 2017-2018 academic year. The Fort Wayne-based university says it has reached a total enrollment of more than 10,000 students for the first time in its history.
The total of 10,282 students at Indiana Tech's main Fort Wayne campus, 14 regional campuses and online program is a 2.5 percent increase over the previous academic year. The university says traditional undergraduate enrollment on the Fort Wayne campus rose 6.4 percent over the previous year while online and regional campus enrollment increased 2 percent.
"Our faculty and staff are committed to providing high-quality degree programs to all of our students," said Karl Einolf, president of Indiana Tech. "The continued growth in our enrollments shows that prospective students value that commitment, and see Indiana Tech as a place that can help them succeed. In the end, that is what our team is most proud of – providing personal attention to each student, and helping prepare them for successful careers and lives of significance and worth."
Indiana Tech joins Ball State University and Indiana State University, which also reported record enrollments this year.
