FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Lincoln Foodservice Products, a division of Manitowoc Foodservice, announced Friday that they will be closing their doors for good.

The plant will start letting production employees go on December 31, 2012 and will be closing completely on April 30, 2013.

The company is moving to Cleveland, Ohio. Some salaried employees will be offered the option to relocate to Cleveland.

“The consolidation of our Americas ovens manufacturing and related business activities in one location will improve the service we provide to our customers with easier mixing of products for shipment, consolidated business operations, and greater reinvestment in product development," Mike Kachmer, president of Manitowoc Foodservice, said.

Manitowoc said they are investing in a satellite office in the Fort Wayne area.

“We have notified the Indiana Department of Workforce Development to begin the process of identifying support and transition services that may be available for our employees,” Phil Dei Dolori, executive vice president of Manitowoc Americas Foodservice Cooking Solutions, said.

Manitowoc Foodservices bought Lincoln Foodservice Products in 2008.

This closing will affect approximately 200 jobs.
